If you believe the prosecution's ridiculous case in the sadistic Erie collar bomb murder/bank robbery, Floyd Stockton, a convicted rapist and friend of deceased, alleged collar bomber Bill Rothstein, was given complete immunity for not testifying. So the FBI has turned loose a sadistic psychopath who is free to kill again? J Edgar must be turning over in his grave.
Stockton must have a genius for a lawyer. His name appears throughout the affidavits of probable cause for the search warrants the FBI and ATF filed in the Wells case for Barnes' residence on Perry Street in Erie in 2006. The investigators said in the affidavits that Diehl-Armstrong and Barnes identified Stockton as being involved in the Wells plot, and that Barnes said Stockton helped Rothstein handle the bomb that was locked to Wells' neck. The FBI in the affidavits also identifies Stockton as meeting with investigators at least twice. The information in the affidavits, as well as the lack of an indictment against Stockton, suggest he has reached an agreement with the government in exchange for his cooperation in the Wells case.
Liar, Skilliar, your pants are on fire: Since Stockton never testified in the case, the jury will never know if he passed a polygraph test. "Evil genius" Rothstein passed a polygraph when questioned about his involvement in the Wells murder. Did the prosecution's other impeachable witness Kenny Barnes, whose own family called him a pathological liar, pass a polygraph test? Barnes was not charged with Wells' murder and Stockton wasn't charged at all. Why not? Rothstein on his deathbed went to his grave claiming he had nothing to do with the collar bomb murder. One would think the FBI would have forced Stockton to testify from his deathbed to close the case, but they reportedly were more concerned about his health. Right.
Maybe the truth is they didn't do it. The prosecution was under pressure to close the case, and so what if dirtbags like Marj, Rothstein, and Barnes (who had his sentence cut in half) take the hit. If the prosecution is wrong, no one is going to stay awake thinking these guys were wrongfully convicted.
A CNN reporter tried to talk to Stockton, tracking him down on a RV lot in Bellingham, Washington, a town north of Seattle, but he made a run for it. Maybe he was heading for Canada where the real killers fled.
For a guy who has complete immunity, what's Stockton running from? Perhaps the truth?
We may never know. The FBI, who demanded to know who were the CNN sources, wouldn't talk to the CNN reporter either.
Of course, the FBI would never let a sadistic killer walk free, which leads to the conclusion the FBI does NOT believe Floyd Stockton is a sadistic killer.
If the Wells family wants justice for Brian, keep the pressure on Stockton before he pulls a Whitey Bulger and disappears for good: file a CIVIL LAWSUIT against Stockton, who apparently has enough money to buy an expensive RV (and who gave him that money?) Stockton, who apparently is the only suspect who is not insane, will plead "NOT GUILTY," which will require him to recant his "confession" to the FBI. A first-rate attorney's tough questioning will cause the "Brian Wells-did it" theory to blow up in the FBI's face and wipe that smirk off Stockton's.
